As I flipped channels on the way to the annual Jerrython, I was stunned when CNN was saying that the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, was killed by a stingray while filming a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef off Australia. I have to admit, I admired the man. He was literally Marlon Perkins on steroids, and in a good way -- he had attitude, he had fun, and he was bottom line a defender of the environment. God bless you sir ... you will be missed.
