This is too depressing to even contemplate. Eight people were killed at a yeshiva before police killed the gunman. The assassin was a resident of East Jerusalem and therefore had free roaming rights in the rest of the city.
Not too surprisingly, Hamas praised the attack although it stopped short of claiming responsibility.
I don't know what it will take to get cooler heads to prevail in an already radioactive region. But dancing in the streets in Gaza City and celebrating a multiple murder is not the way to move forward.
