Simpsons replaced by ... Whaaaaa?

In yet another decision that could only have come (presumably) from the wacky mind of Hugo Chavez, a TV station in Venezuela has pulled The Simpsons from the 11 am timeslot. The reason: It's inappropriate for children.

Guess what show has taken its place?

Baywatch.

So let's see -- it's inappropriate for kids if the people in town have bad attitudes so long as they are fully clothed. But if they're on the beach with bikinis that reveal almost everything ... it's okay???

Say, the oil refineries are right next door to Margarita Island, right? No wonder there's brain damage in Caracas. Then again, The Hoff is inexplicably a megastar in Latin America and in the EU. It's just funny, y'all.

Well, I think the main reason they might feel its inappropriate for kids is because Simpson might actually encourage them to think.

No worries with Baywatch, not much thinking gonna happen there, at least not upstairs.
