I've never really cared for Imus but I feel bad for him because he's really being unfairly treated by Reverend Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

He's apologized numerous times, and I watched his program this morning and he seemed genuinely remorseful.

What horrible timing also, with his charity programming scheduled for Thursday and Friday. I feel bad for those kids...

Marvin and ferrethouse, you both raise some good points. I should ad that subsequent to this post and last night on Michael Coren Live , the prime time chat show on Toronto's Christian TV station, Coren pointed out that Sharpton and Jackson have both made incendiary and racist remarks over the years yet are rarely called out on it because they are on the "left." Even the socialist on the panel had to agree on that count.

Frankly, I think it's disingenuous that a double standard exists but it's there. But given that right-wing radio is more commercially successful than left-wing, Imus should not have trouble finding someone else to pick up the video feed. Maybe Fox News.

Re: Don Imus
This is ridiculous. A lot of people have said worse things including Jessie & Rev Al.
I don't think Imus is either left or right wing.
Call Leslie Moonbeam of CBS and complain. He is at CBS in CA now (323) 575-2600 or his NYC office (212) 846-3939
