Can it be that we are living in a country without "The Hockey Theme," a tune by Dolores Claman that is so embedded in our psyche that it's been called this country's second national anthem? Looks as if the CBC's long time licensing agreement to use the tune is about to expire.
Heck, even Norm Macdonald used it a few times when he was host of "Weekend Report" on SNL. Come on, $500 per use isn't a lot of money for an agency that gets about a billion from the feds every year.
