Turkey high court orders do-over

Following up on a post the other day about the battle over an Islamist candidate wanting to be President of Turkey, the country's high court has struck down the vote in Parliament on the grounds that it didn't meet the quorum of at least 2/3 of the body's 550 members. This will force a new vote in the next few days. That on top of a massive street protest in Istanbul the other day shows the people of Eastern Thrace and Anatolia have no intention of going the way of the Taliban or OBL. Let's hope they stick to that -- not only if it's to be the EU bridge to the Middle East, but if radical terrorism is to be stopped. If the first domino drops there, it's just a matter of time.
