Silence, like yellow ribbons, is golden

My colleague A BCer in Toronto asks some tough questions about the Harper Government's silence over the death of a Canadian peacekeeper during the disproportionate Israeli attack against Hezbollah a couple of years ago that would up hurting civilians more than it did the terrorist group.

The question I would have is if Harper has gotten too much advice from the televangelists who oppose anything Muslim or Islamic. Guess his campaign slogan "Stand Up for Canada" doesn't include soldiers trying to keep the peace between two groups if one of those groups happens to be Muslim. If that be true, Harper should do us all a favour and pull the peacekeepers out of Cyprus, too.

Silence, like yellow ribbons, is golden.

I think the longer version of that slogan is "Stand up for Canada standing firmly beside Israel and the United States."
